I met Blackbird at an open mic at a homies coffee shop in Long Beach YEARS ago. What a great open mic it was: Mike The Poet speaking, Mear One painting, I was doing sound, and many close friends just chilling, big ups to Rikki Rucker, Kahled, Motion (Where you at foo?), Castor Pollux, Iota Arcane.
Blackbird stole the show, and I became a fan. He created new sounds each time I heard his music.
